Community Driving School Information

Locations in Golden, Lakewood, Westminster, and Littleton.

You MUST sign up as a Golden High School Student so the school can benefit.

Students can start the drivers Ed course at 14 and 6 months. Take the permit test at 14 and 11 months and apply for the Instruction Permit on their 15th birthday or after.

Check the summer schedule and be done in just 4 days with Driving School.
The session can be taken in any order and as close together or as far as part as you choose.
The standard package includes all the requirements a teenager needs to get his license at 16.

Thee two Standard Packages (live or online) include all the DMV requirements a teenager needs to have to get their Driver’s License at their 16th birthday.

  • Classroom Teen Driving 30 Hour Class
  • Written Permit Test (2 Attempts)
  • 6 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training
  • Driving Skill Test (1 Attempt)

4 classes which in the following topics:

-Defensive driving

-Understanding your vehicle

-Traffic laws

-Basic and advanced maneuvers

Once a student starts the 1st class they have 6 months to finish the other 3 remaining. Classes can be taken in any order.

How the PTA benefits:

For every 10 students from Golden High School that enroll in Community Driving School for the 30 hour in person Standard Package or the 30 Hour Online Class Package (self-paced) Community Driving School will send the Golden High School PTA a check for USD $250.

If we can get 10 students to the spring break class in person they will send an additional USD $250 check to the Golden High School PTA. The class will be held at the Lakewood location.
